i tried this on my device to activate any iphone 3G FW upto 4.0.1 without any activation sim .
if u r stuck on emergency screen mode and u r waiting for activation with the phonebook card . u r just wasting ur time as bro sheriff hasim said earlier
but i have activated it using few tools .
